GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- It's a waiting game for ArtPrize contestants in the top 10.
Voting ended at 11:59pm Thursday night. We won't know until Friday night which artist takes the top prize of $200,000. On the last night of voting we talked to two artists, one who has made it to the top 10 three times and the other in the finals for the first time.
Paul Baliker's piece is Dancing With Mother Nature, "I'm not tired of being in the top ten but I do want to get up there a little further."
The first place winner takes home $200,000, the 2nd place winner will receive $75,000 and the artist in 3rd place receives $50,000.
"We are all hoping for the best for the other one, but we are all hoping to be number one no doubt," says Baliker.
Anni Crouter has never made it into the ArtPrize Top 10 but she's taking it all in stride. "I'm not worried. I'm in the top ten and that's monumental for any artist. " Crouter said.
She painted Polar Expressed depicting three polar bears. "I'm sure everybody would like to be in the top three all of us would like to take home some of that money but you know it is what it is."
Crouter says she plans to take a few hours off just to relax. She admits no matter what happens, making it into the ArtPrize Top 10 will help boost her career.
Rick DeVos, the founder of ArtPrize will announce the winners Friday night starting at 8pm.
