(WZZM) - Rick's cucumber plants are not producing so far this summer and he's partly blaming the lack of bee action and the weather.
Because of that, he's teaching his plants about the "birds and the bees" and pollination. Rick identifies male and female flowers. He takes some pollen from the male flower and rubs it on a Q-tip then onto a female flower. This is work that wind, bees and other insects usually do for you. But if they didn't, you'll need to manually play "match-maker" with your male and female cucumber flowers.
