GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Who will take home the top prize in the world's largest art competition? The first round of voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Saturday.
Friday, voting surpassed the 300,000 which is up 12 percent over this time last year. An ArtPrize spokesperson says the smartphone app has likely encouraged more voting this year.
"Most people when they do vote, they realize they have a better ArtPrize experience, they see more art, they are more considerate of the things they look at, they have a point to talk about it critically and talk about it with their friends," said ArtPrize marketing director Todd Herring.
Herring says it's a narrow race between the Top 25 artists. The Top Ten will then be revealed at 1 p.m. Sunday.
