Naturalization Ceremony for 160 in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- More than 160 people will become United States citizens in Grand Rapids on Wednesday.

The Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids will host two naturalization ceremonies for permanent residents of the U.S. at Cathedral Square Center.

The application process for the prospective new citizens included interviews, fingerprinting, an English language test, and a U.S. Civics test.

After they take the oath of citizenship they will be allowed to register to vote.
