GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Selects Hockey organization has selected Bryan Huggins from Grand Rapids to join the international program.

More than 300 invited players from across North America competed for 68 positions, with those selected participating in the program's international spring training development camp and World Series Invitational in Bolzano, Italy this April and May.

The 11-year old from Cascade will face top international competition while over seas.

Since 2003, Selects Hockey has worked with top youth hockey players across North America and Europe to expose them to all avenues of hockey in an effort to facilitate opportunities at the NCAA, Junior and Professional levels.

Selects Hockey's list of NHL alumni continues to grow.

Matt Duchene of the Colorado Avalanche, Logan Couture of the San Jose Sharks, Kevin Shatterkirk of the St. Louis Blues, Brandon Saad of the Chicago Blackhawks and Seth Jones of the Nashville Predators all got their start in Selects Hockey.
