As many women approach their 50s... they start to anticipate the changes in their body that are often associated with menopause. But you may not realize, symptoms can start in your 40s or even as early as your 30s... in a stage called perimenopause.
To help us better understand what's happening and ways to manage the transition... we're joined by Dr. Leila Keeler... an obstetrician-gynecologist with Metro Health.
Dr. Leila Keeler is new to Metro Health and now practicing at Metro Health Southwest in Wyoming and Metro Health Rockford. You can reach her at (616) 252-8350.
We also want to remind you that Metro Health is offering a special "Ladies Night" event tonight from 6:30 - 7:30 at the Hyatt Place Hotel next to the hospital in Metro Health Village. While the guys are out hunting, you can grab your girlfriends for a fun night out focused on women's health. You can talk to an OB-GYN, a cardiologist and a skin care specialist. All the details are at www.MetroHealth.net under Live Healthy Programs.
