MARILLA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say 25 dogs have been confiscated from a home in Manistee County after many were found in poor condition.
The Ludington Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/ZmMK6z ) the sheriff's department is investigating after animal control officers got a tip about the home in Marilla Township, about 30 miles southwest of Traverse City.
The sheriff's department says 40 to 50 dogs are believed to be at the home. Many of them were found this week underweight and covered in feces.
The case is expected to be reviewed by prosecutors for possible charges.
