GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - If the federal government shuts down at midnight over the Congressional standoff, it will affect the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.
The Ford Museum is hosting four ArtPrize top 10 finalists. Two of the finalists, Uplifting and Dancing with Mother Nature, are outside the Ford Museum and can be viewed during the federal shutdown.
Two other works, Polar Expressed and Sleeping Bear Dune Lakeshore, are on display inside the museum.
Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum Deputy Director James Kratsas tells WZZM 13 News, plans are being made to make the two works available to the public, in the event the federal government does shut down. However, the exact plans have not been finalized yet and will not be revealed until Tuesday morning.
