GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Founders Fest will return for its sixth year to celebrate beer and music in Grand Rapids.

Founders Brewing Co. has been a staple of the Grand Rapids beer scene since 1997.  Owners say this event is a way to say "thank you" to their loyal customers.

The event is on June 22 and runs from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Grandville Avenue between Cerry and Bartlett Streets.

More than 6,000 people are expected to attend the outdoor concerts.

A wide variety of musical acts will perform. This year's headliner is G. Love & Special Sauce.  Dumpstaphunk, Man Man, Roster McCabe, Lowdown Brass Band, and Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys will perform as well. Regional acts include Alexis and Cabildo.

A band made up of Founders employees called the FBC All-Stars will play as well.

Founders continues to undergo a $26 million expansion project. The expansion will allow them to brew four times the beer they can brew in the current facility.

"Earlybird" Tickets are available in advance. Visit the Founders event page for purchasing information.
