Keep watching Take Five for our upcoming New Music Tuesday feature...and we liked Kix Brooks new CD so much we're doing an encore of Brooks' New To This Town to get you in the mood for some country music two days before ABC's airing of the 46th Annual CMA Awards.

The CMA Awards will air live from Nashville on WZZM 13 ABC on Thursday, November 1st from 8pm-11pmET.

Kix Brooks' Arista Nashville solo debut album, New to This Town, released on September 11th!  The title track is also the album's first single, featuring Joe Walsh.

Kix took his time working on his solo project, and he recorded nearly 50 songs before choosing the very best for his new album.

He didn't have to look far for a great concept for his "New to This Town" video - it came from his son!  The clip finds Kix moving forward in a story that plays-out in reverse!

Earlier this year, Kix launched a series of club-based tour dates, and he's really enjoyed getting back on the road.

Music is his first love, but Kix also serves as host of the weekly American Country Countdown radio show, co-owns Arrington Vineyards - a winery outside Nashville - and is a partner in a film production company.  Kix is also the executive producer of a 2012 holiday film called Saving Santa, and he'll be featured as an actor in two other upcoming films.

After beginning his career as a solo artist and hit songwriter, Kix Brooks became best known to fans as one-half of country music's most successful duo of all time: Brooks & Dunn.  At the time of their farewell tour in 2010, they'd sold more than 30 million albums and scored 23 #1 hits since their 1991 debut.
