GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A former pastor has three months to come up with a plan to repay the money he stole from his congregation.
Rev. Arthur Pearson is charged with embezzling more than $50,000 from Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. He's accused of using church money on personal expenses, like dinners, doctor visits and shopping.
Pilgrim Rest fired Pearson last June.
Thursday, the judge delayed his sentencing and ordered Pearson to avoid Pilgrim Rest members until his next hearing in July.
