GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WZZM) -- Grand Haven police are investigating a man's death, after his body was pulled from the Grand River Thursday morning. Investigators say the body was discovered just before 11 a.m. behind Rycenga Lumber, by two workers who were near the docks.
Police are describing the body as a white male, but are still waiting to confirm his identity with family members. Investigators do not believe he is from Grand Haven or that his death is connected to the area. They're now trying to learn whether or not suspicious activity was involved.
"We have no specific information to determine that it's suspicious, but we're going to do a complete investigation in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies to determine the cause of death," says Jeff Hawke, Grand Have Public Safety Director.
Investigators are also still waiting for an autopsy to be completed.
