(WZZM) - Charles Johnson, Grand Valley State's leading wide receiver in 2012, is now a Green Bay Packer.
The Packers selected Johnson in the seventh-round, 206th overall during today's final day of the NFL Draft.
Johnson was second in the GLIAC last season in receiving yards (1,199) and touchdown catches (16) during his senior season.
He wowed scouts during his pro-day workout after running 4.3 40-yard dash.
Johnson is the first Laker selected in the NFL Draft since Brandon Carr in 2008. Carr is currently a starting cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys.
