Pere Marquette Park - Muskegon

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - City commissioners in Muskegon unanimously approved a plan Tuesday night clearing the way for more food and beverage options at Pere Marquette Park.

The Harris Hospitality Group was selected to redevelop the site at the city beach. Plans call for a casual restaurant, bar and yogurt shop at the site. Harris Hospitality wants to tear down the current building and build a new 20,000 square-foot structure.

The new building would also include space to rent beach equipment.

The commission is also considering agreements with a number of mobile vendors including one seeking permission to sell hot-dogs and another sunglasses and towels.
