WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) - UPDATE: Power is restored to Consumers Energy customers after the early morning crash, on the ramp from north bound 131 to 28th Street. Still no word on injuries to the people in the car.
5:00 am - A traffic crash on the off ramp from U.S. 131 north to 28th Street has knocked power out to over a thousand Consumers Energy customers this morning.
A witness tells us the car was traveling at a high rate of speed, shortly before 5:00 a.m. when it failed to navigate the off ramp, going air born before hitting a power pole.
Most of the customers without power are along 131 west to Michael and De Hoop, and just north of Burton Street, down to 42nd Street to the south.
No word on any injuries to the occupants of the car. We will more information as it becomes available.
