GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Staff cuts are on the way for Grand Rapids Public Schools, along with the closing or repurposing of 10 school buildings in the district.
At Monday night's board meeting, administrators announced plans to cut 70 positions across the board, including 14 teachers.
The district is also using $8 million from its fund balance to balance the budget. Nearly $3 million of that money will be reinvested into schools that are seeing program changes.
