GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Parking meter rates in Grand Rapids could be going up for the first time in 15 years.
The parking commission voted Thursday to increase street parking by 25 cents per hour, for a total of $1.75. Neighborhood meters would also increase to 50 cents per hour.
Rates at the downtown parking ramps will stay at their current rates.
The city commission will vote on the increases Tuesday.
