HOLLAND TWP., Mich. (WZZM) -- A Holland Township woman has died after being hit by a car.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department reports a car traveling westbound on Riley Street went through a stop sign at the intersection at 104th Avenue, hitting Barbara Roels, 54.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. Thursday. Roels was riding her bike through the intersection when she was hit.
Authorities say the driver of the car, 35 year old Kelly Briggs of Zeeland Township, missed the stop sign at the intersection.
Roels was taken to Spectrum Butterworth where she later died. The accident investigation continues.
