GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The Grand Rapids Griffins boarded a plane on Monday headed to Syracuse for game six of the Calder Cup Championship.
Before taking off, team members told WZZM's Hannah Saunders that they plan on having the Calder Cup in hand the next time they board an airplane, which would be the first time in history.
Game six will be played on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the War Memorial.
The Griffins still lead the series, 3 to 2, and if the series continues after Tuesday, game seven will also be played in Syracuse.
