MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- A woman riding on the back of her husband's motorcycle has died following a crash with a Jeep.
The accident happened around 4:40 p.m. Thursday on Fruitvale Road and Lamos Road.
Michigan State Police say the driver of a Jeep turned in front of a motorcycle, causing the biker to lose control.
James Duryee, 58, of Berrien Springs was treated and released at Hackley Hospital. His wife, Cathy Ann Duryee, also 58, was the rear seat passenger on the motorcycle. She died from her injuries at the scene.
Authorities say alcohol was not a factor in the crash. It's not clear if both passengers were wearing helmets.
The crash remains under investigation.
