CANNON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)- Riders of all ages took on the Cannonsburg Ski area for the mountain bike racing event of the Meijer State Games Saturday.
The course featured six challenging miles of climbs, descents, and obstacles.
Competitors raced in a time trial format based on age and experience.
Our cameras rode along with Hannah Parrot, 14, who placed first in her division.
She enjoyed the hair-raising course, as did Kevin Allen, from the West Michigan Mountain Biking Association.
Allen says, "'If you've ever ridden a roller coaster, it's like riding your own roller coaster. You control it, you have fun."
The Meijer State Games wrap up Sunday.
