GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WZZM) -- The search for John English has ended for the night with no sign of the missing West Michigan boater.
The 47-year-old Life EMS medic went for a swim Sunday afternoon in Lake Michigan, off the coast of Grand Haven and did not re-surface. Officials believe he drowned.
Even though crews have not found his body, the family of John English will hold funeral services Wednesday. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, with a funeral mass at Noon. A celebration of his life will follow at the Fifth Street Hall in Grand Rapids.
A private service will be held for the family when his body is found.
