KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) - Two men have been officially charged after a chase, crash, and standoff Thursday night.
Cody Diandre Howard was arraigned in Kentwood District 62B Court Friday on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, fleeing and eluding police, and resisting arrest. Meantime, Marquell Spraggins was also charged with resisting arrest.
It all started when shots were fired at Countryside Townhouses in Kentwood. Police chased the suspects in their SUV. Howard, the driver of the vehicle crashed at the corner of Eastern and 33rd. He was arrested at the scene. Spraggins and another man fled into Grand Rapids, near 33rd and Marshall. That's where police set up a perimeter and arrested the two men several hours later. Spraggins was charged and the other man was released.
No one was injured in any of the incidents.
