Walmart plans to hire 100,000 veterans beginning on Memorial Day.
Whitehall , Mich. (WZZM) The group BOW-NOT which opposes a proposed Walmart in Whitehall Township held another display of opposition.
Opponents gathered at the site of the proposed store East of U.S. 31 at the Colby Street exit.
Walmart already has been granted site approval by the Whitehall Township Planning Commission. The Township's full board is expected to take up the planning commission recommendation tonight.
Those who oppose a new Walmart store in Muskegon County say it will hurt existing stores in Whitehall and Montague and add more than 8,000 cars a day at two Whitehall intersections.
Walmart says the store would be 126,000 square-feet in size and create 300-jobs.
