(WZZM) - Former Detroit Lion quarterback Eric Hipple is in town this weekend. He's now the Outreach Coordinator for the Univerisity of Michigan Depression Center.
After losing his teenage son to suicide, Hipple now travels to schools speaking out about mental health.
"Depression itself is such a complex dynamic. You can get there from so many different ways. You can get there because it runs in your family. You can get there because of stress. You can get there because of a head injury."
You can hear more from Eric Saturday morning at North Rockford Middle School from 9:00am until Noon.
He'll take part in the Rockford Hope Men's Mental Fitness Morning event.
