(WZZM) Chicago, Illi. - At the annual meeting of the American Medical Association, members voted to recognize obesity as a disease.
Before, obesity was just considered a major public health issue.
Doctors with the AMA say that recognizing obesity as a disease will help change how they approach the issue.
