(WZZM) Grand Rapids, Mich. - Living healthily can be challenging and it can seem like there are barriers everywhere.
Catherine's Health Center of Grand Rapids launced a video-diary project aimed to help women work through their own personal challenges when it comes to healthy living.
The W.I.S.E.W.O.M.A.N. Photo-voice project is based off the findings of a University of Michigan researcher and is the first of its kind to be carried out in an urban setting.
In the video link above Executive Director of Catherine's Health Center, Karen Kaashoek, says the Photo-voice project is part of the overall effort of the W.I.S.E.W.O.M.A.N. project which helps to educate women about health risks and how to take steps to overcome them.
Photo-voice participant Cynthia Brant says she got involved in the program to help raise awareness and pay it forward.
