(WZZM) Ann Arbor, Mich. - Researchers from the University of Michigan  think that men are undergoing advanced and expensive prostate cancer treatments when they might not really need them.

The study was released in the Journal of the American Medical Association and looked at cancer treatment options among 50,000 men over age 65.

The study found that men with a low risk of dying from prostate cancer opted for advanced treatments like 'intensity-modulated radiotherapy' or robotic prostate removal.
