(WZZM) - A produce supplier from Mexico has stopped shipments to the United States.
Taylor Farms de Mexico voluntarily halted sending produce to the US after the farm was linked to recent outbreaks of Cyclospora.
Specifically, the Taylor Farms salad mix was linked to outbreaks of Cyclospora in Iowa and Nebraska.
As of this week the Centers for Disease Control reports 548 cases of the infection in 19 states, but the CDC is still investigating whether all the cases are part of the same outbreak.
Michigan still remains unaffected by the outbreak of the intestinal illness caused by a rare type of parasite.
Taylor Farms will not start sending produce to the US until the FDA gives them the okay.
