(WZZM) - Christmas garland is a tradition brought to us from Europe.  After the harvest, it was a way for Europeans to make a little extra money off their land. Douglas Fir and White Pine are a couple good trees that are great for making garland.

Poinsettias are a Christmas favorite and Greenthumb Rick Vuyst says they're not poisonous despite what you've heard. They certainly make a house look festive.
