Is your lawn dead or dormant?
(WZZM) - Greenthumb Rick Vuyst says a yard that goes without moisture for 4-8 weeks can go dormant.
Dormant is okay because that means it will return. Dead is a different story however. Rick says many lawns are unfortunately dying this year due to the scorching weather.
If your lawn is brown, do not to fear. Rick says we are about one month away from the start of seeding and overseeding season. Mid-August to Mid-October is the best time to do either or both. So, do your best to keep what you have alive and plan on buying some seed and re-seeding next month.
