(WZZM) - November is the time to split your plants.
Dividing them is a great way to make them healthier and put the extra plants in your yard elsewhere. Once you pull them out of the ground and divide them, make sure you put a nice layer of mulch around them to keep the roots from being exposed this winter.
Greenthumb Rick Vuyst also reminds us that we should cut our lawn short before the snow arrives, this will help prevent snow mold and vole damage.
Rick says November is a great time to spray anti-desicants and deer repellent on your plants. Lastly, there is still time to plant your bulbs, but hurry before the snow starts to fall.
