A seminar for color cowards by Leslie Hart-Davidson, professional interior designer from Hart-Davidson Designs
Beige is not a color!
Take a lesson from the context of the characters from the "Fifty Shades" book series and break free of boring color!
Exploring your hard limits of color
There's a huge psychological component to color and how we react to it in our home. Dig deep to determine what causes you color anxiety based on WARM and COOL reactions to color.
The bedroom is actually the safest place to play with color since it's private and not subject to criticism from family members and nosy neighbors. Choosing the headboard wall as a focal wall to test-drive color is an easy way to play with actual color.
"Instead of" palette
The three easiest colorways to entertain if you're ready to break free of boring beige are yellow, green and blue. I'll show you beiges that have a hint of either yellow, green or blue in them along with *actual* yellows, greens and blues that are easy to tolerate when transitioning from beige.
