Consumer Reports: Best and Worst Debit Cards

Prepaid debit cards can be used like debit cards to pay bills, make purchases, or withdraw cash from ATMs.  But unlike traditional debit cards, prepaid cards are not linked to an individual bank account, no credit check is required to use one and money can be loaded onto them in various ways.  Consumer Reports reviewed 26 prepaid cards and ranked them based on value, convenience, safety and fee disclosure statements.  Manager of Consumer Reports Financial Services Program Norma Garcia shares their ratings.
