Pure Michigan released its guide this week, featuring a scene from Holland on its cover.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The city of Grand Rapids will be the focus of a new national Pure Michigan commercial that will begin airing Monday.
Experience Grand Rapids provided half of the $1 million dollar advertising budget for the commercial, which will feature the city's dining, craft beer, art and scenic views. Tim Allen again provides the voice for the Pure Michigan spot.
"Grand Rapids' creative energy, diverse culture and scenic beauty make this the perfect destination for a summer vacation," says Doug Small, president of Experience Grand Rapids, in a news release announcing the commercial. "Partnering with Pure Michigan on a national level was the next step for our city. The continued momentum behind this advertising campaign will help with our continued successes in marketing this area to out-of-state visitors."
The ad will begin airing Monday on ten national cable channels, including HGTV, the Food Network, Bravo and The Weather Channel.
Managers with Experience Grand Rapids say the city's 2012 Pure Michigan regional marketing campaign had a $101.5 million economic impact.
