GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A downtown restaurant is battling breast cancer with what it does best.

Cygnus 27 held its "Cyg-nature Pink Party" Thursday night, featuring music from local disc jockeys, and Simply Pink wine by St. Julian Winery. For every bottle sold, St. Julian will make a contribution to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

"Breast cancer is that one thing that seems to touch everyone's lives and it's the charity that's really important to me because of some issues in my family," explained party coordinator Dianna Stampfler. "So I think that other people are seeing that as well. And it's a chance to have fun, dress up all in pink and make a difference for a good cause."

The Cyg-nature Pink Party is a kick off to the West Michigan Signature Tour of Kitchens, which starts Saturday, October 23. The tour benefits Sudan G. Komen for the Cure- Grand Rapids.
