MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Here in West Michigan, a new resource is now available for women dealing with the disease on the Lakeshore.
The Mercy Comprehensive Breast Center is a brand new, $4 million facility where women can take care of all their breast health needs under one roof.
Every woman over 40 is encouraged to get a yearly mammogram, but doctors say only about 45 percent in our area do.
Here at the Mercy Health Muskegon's comprehensive breast center, you can get your regular screening and mammogram. There's a diagnostic facility if you do find something suspicious. and you can receive treatment with state-of-the art technology from physicians and surgeons.
Saturday from 2-5 p.m. is an open house for the public at Comprehensive Breast Center in Lakes Village, on Prairie Street in Norton Shores near the Lakes Mall. It's free and open to everyone.
