One woman died in an accident police say was caused by the slippery road conditions. It happened in the 2800 block of 100th Street SE in Kent County Sunday afternoon. Sheriff's deputies say 23-year-old Rachael Morrison of Byron Center lost control as she was driving east on 100th Street. Morrison's car slid into the path of an SUV, which hit her car on the driver's side. Morrison died of her injuries. The driver of the other car, 50-year-old Laurie Timmerman of Middleville was taken to the hospital with minor head and possible internal injuries. She is listed in stable condition.
