Zeeland, Mich. (WZZM) - A man faces felony charges for leading police on a chase in Ottawa County.
Tuesday, Zeeland Police tried to stop a car on Chicago Drive near 120th. But the driver wouldn't pull over. Instead, the 30 year old fled west on Chicago Drive.
Holland Police joined in the chase. The suspect ran through several lights at high speeds. From Chicago Drive, he went south on Waverly and then west on 16th.
That's where the suspect crashed into another car at the intersection of 16th and Columbia. But the chase didn't end there.
The suspect kept going until he crashed his car into a tree near 17th and Harrison. He got out of the car and ran away on foot, but was arrested a short time later near 21st and Cleveland.
The suspect is now in the Ottawa County jail. He was wanted for a parole absconded warrant. He also had a bench warrant out of another area. He will face new felony charges of fleeing and eluding. Police have not released the name of the suspect.
