Holland, MI (WZZM) - Below freezing readings are creating perfect conditions for this year's Downtown Holland Ice Sculpting Competition.

The 300 pound blocks of ice will be transformed into works of art by the talented hands of college students from around the Midwest.

Tune in to WZZM's Weekend Morning Show as we feature this cool event in our What's Happening segment.

The event begins Friday, the 4th from 6-8 pm and wraps up on Saturday with the freestyle competition from 12:30 - 4:30 pm.  The competition takes place on the north side of Eighth Street, between College and River Avenue.

Be sure to head over early because we're predicting a warm up by the end of our 7 Day Forecast!  These sculptures won't last forever.
