After a slow start to the season, West Michigan is catching up on snowfall across the area.
The storm Thursday and Thursday night brought anywhere from 5 to almost 15 inches of snow. Snowfall totals are still below average but getting closer.
Grand Rapids has see around 43 inches of snow so far this season. That compares to an average of around 55 inches, or about 12 inches below normal to this date.
Muskegon is around 65 inches off snow so far this season. The normal to this date is around 70 inches. Thats about 5 inches below average to this date.
We will get some light snow on Monday and again for next weekend but no big storms are in sight.
