GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A Muskegon County landlord is facing more than 60 years in prison for burning down his own properties.
A jury Friday found 73-year-old Gerald Singer guilty of 11 criminal charges, including arson and mail fraud. Prosecutors say he burned down homes and buildings he owned to collect $700,000 in insurance settlements.
The case spanned from the early 1990s to 2007.
Singer's sentencing in federal court is expected in the next 90 days.
