A van was found dumped in the Grand River in Walker. (March 31, 2013)
WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) -- An anonymous donor is offering to donate up to $10,000 in matching funds to replace a van that was stolen and dumped in the Grand River Sunday.
The van belonged to Thrive, a refugee support program and was used to transport clients to doctor's appointments, immigration appointments, and English classes. Thrive organizers say a large vehicle is often needed to transport large refugee families.
Wednesday morning an anonymous donor committed to matching other donations dollar for dollar, up to $10,000.
Donations can be made online at www.refugeesupportgr.com. Checks can be made out to Thrive and mailed to 2730 56th St. SW, Wyoming, MI 49418.
