GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - The Rothbury Music Festival will be back again this year.
The festival drew tens of thousands of people to the Double JJ Ranch in Oceana County last summer.
But, there was a question about whether the concert would be back because the Double JJ is in the middle of bankruptcy proceedings. A decision by a bankruptcy judge Thursday afternoon means the concert can go forward.
The bankruptcy trustee will be able to settle a debt with Great Lakes Energy for about $120,000. That will free up some land that will be used for the concert. The land was part of the campgrounds at the 2008 concert. Great Lakes had purchased the portion of the Double JJ property at a Sheriff's sale, and the deadline to make a payment to reclaim the land is Friday.
Rothbury is scheduled for the Fourth of July weekend.
