Rep. Dave Hildenbrand (R-Lowell)
LANSING, Mich. (WZZM) - Fresh off last week's election Republican Dave Hildenbrand is celebrating another win. He was selected today by his colleagues to serve as Assistant Majority Leader of the Michigan State Senate.
A news release sent to the WZZM 13 Information Center says Hildenbrand will be responsible for helping guide the policy development and legislative agenda for the upcoming legislative session.
"I am honored to have been selected by my colleagues to serve in this important role as we strengthen our economy and reform our state government," said Hildenbrand. "I am eager to get to work with Governor-elect Snyder and my colleagues in the State Senate and House on the critical task of reinventing Michigan."
The Majority Leader-Elect is Senator Randy Richardville from Monroe.
Hildenbrand is from the Lowell area.
