http://www.zeelandlumber.com/ZEELAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- Zeeland Lumber & Supply is opening up shop in Wyoming creating dozens of new jobs for the area.
Company President Mike Dykstra says that they will be able to triple their capacity and plan to add 40-50 jobs over the next few years.
"We frankly just needed the space," said Dykstra. "We like the facility and we got a great value on the property."
The company's truss division will expand and move to the former North Pacific facility in the 5800 block of Clay Ave. SW.
"We are moving over 25 jobs from the Hamilton plant and we expect to hire 40 in the next coming years," Dykstra said. "We're accepting applications immediately."
The new facility should be fully operational by March 2011.
"It's really good timing for us and a real positive step for us to do this expansion," Dykstra said. "We feel like we're bouncing off the bottom and we're gonna climb out of this now."
