Tim Hortons to open in Grand Haven
GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WZZM) - It may be a Canadian-based chain of doughnut shops, but Tim Horton's is making it's way into West Michigan.
A new Tim Hortons and Cold Stone Creamery restaurant is on it's way to Grand Haven. The city planning commission approved plans Tuesday, allowing the company to move into the construction phase. The 24-hour store will be at the former Longnecks Grille & Tavern property, near the Days Inn off U-S 31.
The Grand Haven location is expected to open in June. Another Tim Hortons store is being built in Norton Shores, and another will open inside the Gun Lake Casino in Wayland township. The chain is also expected to begin selling it's doughnuts and coffee at Van Andel Arena later this year.
