GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - The talk of West Michigan is the changes on local television at our competitors WOOD TV and WWMT TV.

Wednesday, WOOD confirmed with a terse statement that longtime anchor Suzanne Geha is no longer working there.  WOOD has not said why Geha has been let go.

Wednesday night, WWMT anchor Jeff Varner sent out a series of messages on Facebook criticizing his co-worker Kate Tillotson and saying he did not intend to stay at WWMT beyond his contract.  Varner confirmed to a WZZM employee that he posted the messages.  Varner was not anchoring the 5 p.m. news Thursday night.  Thursday, he posted the following message on his Facebook page: "I think I'm in time out! :-)."

Longtime WWMT anchor Judy Markee previously announced that she would be leaving Channel 3 at the end of May.
