GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A Comstock Park man is facing federal charges of possessing, receiving, and distributing child pornography.
According to the criminal complaint, Eric Straatsma confessed on March 2nd to the victim's father and to an FBI agent that he had made a digital movie of the five-year-old daughter of the father while she was naked and focused on the child's genitals. Straatsma also confessed, according to the complaint, to sexually molesting a girl between the ages of three and nine in the past.
During the search of Straatsma's home, several computers, hard drives, thumb drives, digital cameras, and a memory card were seized by authorities. Authorities also found a box with approximately 100 pairs of little girls underpants.
Forensic exams of the computer equipment showed over 1,000 images of child porn and a 17-second video of the victim.
Straatsma is currently in custody and will be in federal court on a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
