ROTHBURY, Mich. (WZZM) -- Motorcyclist from around the state will be at the Double J Ranch in Oceana County this weekend.
It's the 25th annual Sandy Corley Memorial Run. The event is held to remember the owner of Sandy's Harley Davidson dealership in Fremont.
He passed away from cancer in 1989 and now friends hold the event each year to raise money for cancer research. This year its expanded to include mixed martial arts fights and more live music.
But the big event is the run Saturday morning.
"Saturday we meet at Sandy's Harley Davidson in Fremont from 8:30 to 11:30 and go on a scenic ride in the country. Eventually meeting back here by 4 p.m. and we are giving away a brand new motorcycle," explains Barb Vanbogelen, founder of the Sandy Corley Memorial Run.
In 25 years the event has raised $1.5 million to fund cancer research.
